This week we were fortunate enough to be able to host Andy Beall, the current head of the art department at Pixar Animation Studios, as a guest speaker for Animation Society!
Andy has worked in animation since 1995, starting as an Assistant Animator for Space Jam. He went on to become the Clean Up Key Artist for the Iron Giant in 1999. He originally started as a hand drawn animator before slowly transitioning to computer animation!
Andy was generous enough to show us behind the scenes footage as well as go over what recruiters look for in internship demo reels!
