On February 20th, we had the honor of hosting Chris Thomas, brother of the late Gordon “Don” Thomas, in club! Chris was kind enough to tell us more about his brother Don Thomas, his life, the films he created And his contributions to the SFSU Animation program. We screened a few of his films that were provided to us by Chris and his family and learned more about Don's creative process. The club officers prepared a list of questions for Chris and the rest of the Thomas family in order to learn more about Don and the scholarship; this list will be made available to future students and provide students in the Animation minor at SFSU with more knowledge of Don and his hopes for the department. Hearing the responses to our questions was really insightful and we hope that anyone who is able to apply for the scholarship takes the chance to read through them!
